Being Honest

When starting out the 24 hourse of being honest I was really worried, not knowing what sum things may get said or asked, like the well know question of "do I look good in this outfit". Over all it was a good experience because on a daily bases that is not something I get up in the morning worrying about of having to be honest. For all it should come naturally and not something we have to do or think about we should do it because its something we have been taught not to do and not to even question. It was actually a very fun experience because my boyfriend, friends and myself all learned something new about the other as we ended up making a game out of the situation once they learned and caught on that I had to be completely honest for a day. The importance of academic integrity is very important to me because gaining respect and trust in friends, faculty and staff comes very easy but losing it and trying to regain the bond you have broken between each other is a very hard task to over come and build back together. Having academic integrity known buy professors and others may also help you buy them knowing you are reliable and trustworthy so they recommend to others that may in the end get you a job. You never know who knows who out in the world that's why its best always to be on your best behavior no matter where you maybe. A important point that has been instilled in me the past few weeks is the trust the professors have in the students when taking test, knowing and hoping they will make the right decision if they leave the room for the hole time they can trust each person to do their own work. To me that is important for a student to show his or her own work, showing original thoughts and ideas if they are not yours you are not showing the knowledge and information you gained. Which only hinders you buy not knowing the material and does not show to the teacher what you may not understand. It also helps to instill trust worthiness qualities in you, and reliability from students, friends and professors. Another reason is it shows self value, there are many more reason but these are only a few out of the many that are important to me.
